Appreciate that, it definitely wasn't easy, and there were moments where I felt completely buried.
What made the biggest difference was having a few really solid tax advisors around me who actually knew how to handle complex cross border issues. Not the usual surface level stuff, but people who weren’t afraid to push back or think creatively within the legal framework.

On top of that, I was lucky enough to have a legal insurance policy in place that ended up covering a big part of the fight. Without that, I honestly don’t know if I’d have had the financial stamina to keep going.

It was still a mental battle, no doubt about it, but when you know you’re in the right, and you have the right support, you just keep moving forward. Giving up wasn’t an option.
