To save on taxes is it enough to register an offshore business?

Hi forum. Can I keep a Canadian bank account but register my business in country X and pay taxes according to their rules? Or is it necessary for the payments to be deposited in a bank in that country as well?

I'd be ok with setting up a bank account for the sole purpose of transferring and paying the taxes only. But I don't want payments for my services to be deposited into an offshore account.

It depends on where you live and the country's perception of self-dealing. You need an accountant who is familiar with expat laws, not just any accountant at the street corner.
