Hi guys,
Imagine you provide astrology (psychic) services like tarot readings, clairvoyance etc. to consumers around the world(fully digital, like coaches etc), except UAE clients, with your UAE freezone company.

I’m wondering if this is considered legal by the UAE authorities? AFAIK selling astrology services is against Sharia law but it’s not listed in the prohibited business list (maybe to much of a niche?).

If you google something like “Astrology Dubai” you even find Astrology studios in Dubai you can visit and pay for consultations.

I just want to make sure they don’t randomly close the company or freeze funds if someone had a bad day or whatever.

What would the UAE experts say? How to deal with this?

Best regards

That may be a good question for @Fred

@D0naldDuck you can setup this business as something like "Lifestyle Coaching".
Thanks for your response, makes sense. The problem is that the business model is more or less a platform model, meaning psychic consultants will register and work independently, will publish profile descriptions of themselves that’ll include clear mentions of psychic services etc.

Would you say it would be necessary to make sure nothing of the tarot, clairvoyance stuff is mentioned on the website or how strict will they see this/ how high risk is it?

The bank acts as only regulator here so you need to have someone who knows what he does.

We can get this done for you.

At the end of the day once the bank account is opened everything depends on your transaction profile only - means getting USD from USA - no questions asked - getting USD from Azerbaijan a lot of questions asked.

Starting from 0.5$ mil you can always get questions however surprinslgly even this is missing in certain currencies like EUR.
