I have read in many places over internet about unlimited web-hosting and disk space. But still unclear about the whole concept of unlimited web-hosting and disk space. Can anybody help?
I do not believe that type of hosting really exists I mean, many hosting companies like hostgator, blueweb etc. are advertising their hosting plans like this but they put a hidden limit on your hosting and if you use too much bandwith you will be forced to switch plan or they will discontinue your hosting.
As far as i am aware, all hosting companies have restrictions on what they are selling. I.e for X amount of hosting space and for X features you pay X amount of money.
I believe all hosting companies make you pay a charge. I.e. you will have to pay X amount of money for X amount of storage space and features. Features being does it support .NET, PHP, how many databases etc.
Usually the catch is that an account is only allowed to use 3% of total resources. More often than not, it's in the contract. That means processor, disk space, memory, etc. As cheap as virtual private hosting is these days, why not get something where you actually have control? Sure, you only get 20gbs or so, but you can use all of it.
