What is the personal income tax in Malta if you live there?

Do anyone know what the personal income tax is in Malta if you live there?


Are there special tax regulations if you earn your money abroad but live in Malta?

I don't know about Malta Tax, but a quick google search pulled up the website from the Malta Inland Revenue Inland Revenue Malta - 2012 Tax Bands


Would be nice if someone could confirm the rate of 0.35% if it is true it looks pretty tempting for anyone with some income to move there..

The below is Interesting:

An individual who is a Maltese Resident pays tax on his income as a wage earner or as a self-employed person. A person who meets the criteria of a "permanent resident" (usually, a stay of more than 183 days a year) will be taxed on his income in Malta and overseas. A foreign resident who is employed in Malta pays tax only on the income he earns in Malta.

Otherwise I see the rates are similar to Cyprus:

Tax base (EUR)	%
8,500	0%
8,501-14,500	15%
14,501-19,500	25%
19,501 and over	35%

Still this needs to be confirmed.

Very helpful, are these tax figures veryfied Admin? I'm considering a trip to Malta to check things out.

I found them on a website for Malta incorporation, since we are not operating there I can't tell you if they are verified.
