Wyoming LLC Address: What You Should Know

Hi guys,

Probably many of you use Sheridan as the business address in Wyoming.

A few months ago, I opened my LLC with one of the most popular and cheap Registered Agents in Wyoming. Everything was fine, I even got accounts approved with Mercury bank, Wise, Payoneer, Relay, etc.

But last month, I ran into a problem. When I tried to open an Amazon Seller Account using the virtual office address from that Agent, the account got suspended because of a linked account issue, meaning another person used the same address or phone number to opened an account in the past.

Dealing with Amazon is a pain in the a*s. Over the past three weeks, I've submitted tons of documents, and their latest response was that I need a termination letter from the third-party provider if I want my account reinstated.

In my research about the provider and its address, I found some complaints on Yelp and other platforms like Trustpilot, and discovered that we have even been in the news!

Are they on the radar? What I have done is change my business address moving to Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, to appear less suspicious.

The problem is that you should use your own address in Thailand with Amazon. This is also what should be on the W-8 BEN-E form, not W-9.

Seeing as the number of businesses at this address is in the 6-figures range, I am not surprised. I see so many companies and registrered agents providing the same address.

Going for a better virtual address, for example - at a coworking center, makes more sense.

Good point. Luckily I have found a company that offers a virtual office with a similar price per month plus a $50 set up fee, and they operate in Cheyenne with a different address. They have been responsive to inquiries which is great too.

However, I noticed there might be an issue using their address for opening bank accounts because they use a Private Mail Box.

When checking on the USPS zip code tool, it says COMMERCIAL MAIL RECEIVING AGENCY: Y , but it should say N to be a good one.

iPostal addresses are mostly CMRA, which are rejected by bank/EMI compliances. You have to check whether an address comes up as CMRA in USPS check, if it does, then please don't use that address, assured rejection by banks.

Correct. Another good service for verifying CMRA addresses is Smarty.

Usually the addresses starting at $19.99 on services like Ipostal and Anytime Mailbox are the ones to go for, but it's important to double-check them.

By the way, if anyone knows of an LLC registered agent offering a virtual office that doesn't use the Sheridan address and is non-CMRA, please share the information in this thread.

Northwest Registered Agent looks more professional. Wyoming Registered Agent Services are cheaper, but their website literature reads like snakeoil.

Northwest provides many more services in different states. Wyoming Registered Agent specialised on WY regisrations.

I have just read the thread of these messages, and I am ASTONISHED to learn that this address has been sold to businesses who use it for their LLC by these 2 services providers : Northwest Registered Agent .... and Wyoming Registered Agent Services !!!
Well, you will be pleased to know that I use another company of Registered Agent in WY too, Sheridan, and they sold me the SAME BUSINESS ADDRESS for my LLC !
I was looking for some answers and help due to the deactivation of my AMZ seller account, cause being fraudulent use of my account too ! Do you think this explans that, meaning there is currently a whole wave of unilaterally de-activated sellers accounts because of that reason and poeple being unable to provide a utility bill for this address ? My whole business is jeopardized. They are asking for a utility bill which obviously i cant provide because i do exclusively online business and I am not resident in the US (and dont plan to).
Any ideas ?

Would Lease agreement work for you? In that case, AFAIK Wyoming Registered Agent Services do provide Lease agreement for a unique suite # under your name

Not the one I am using - they only provide a "virtual" office , no utility bill. And they definitely dont care to look for a solution for me. I set up my LLC business and purpose of the company is specifically "online e-commerce". I am non US resident.
I asked so many legal questions to the registered agents I am using, which are (by the way) Buffalo Registered Agents LLC, when i contacted them to be sure i was doing the right thing. And now that I am seeking a solution as they are the only corporate LEGAL contact I have in the US and considering they act on my behalf for all tax compliance, they simply dont care, and keep talking like robots on their emails, and wishing me to "have a wonderful day !" at the end of each one.
They assured that i did not need an office / commercial lease for my activity that is declared to the authorities as E-commerce.
And now i have to produce a utility bill for Amazon, it is a total catastrophe, all my stock/inventory is at Amazon warehouse. I dont know what to do. I pushed the automatic disposal by 30 days hoping to find a solution.
Those registered agents simply dont care. That is mind-blowing for me. And Amazon as well dont care about the practical reality of my business, i mean, i cant give them the impossible ! I dont need an office and it is not required by law, my registered agents receive my official mail and they file everything they have to file on my behalf to the local and federal state to keep my affairs compliant.
I'm stuck between 2 lethal viruses, my supposed agent who sell my address business to everyone with other businesses, and amazon.

Did you move your company to another address ? Changing the business corp address / HQ of a company is not something easy and takes a ton of procedures.
