Once again, the exact opposite of what you just said is true. For hundreds of years, Russia tried to extinguish the cultures -- and even the languages -- of conquered peoples.

It would actually be poetic justice if civilized nations did, in fact, ban Russian culture as a just punishment for Russia's hundreds of years of mindless aggression against other nations. But civilized nations should not stoop down to Russia's low level of bullying.

Regarding books, Russians are doing the same in the occupied regions... They are trying to deny Ukrainian culture, language etc.

Regarding letters - nobody is 'banning' letters. In this case in particular and in this context, under 'Z' there has been a lot of genocide, rapes, and murder. Hopefully, you understand when the west doesn't want new 'swastica' being promoted in their states.

As a matter of fact, there have been some pro-Putin marches in the west by some Russian people. I haven't heard of those people being dead or in the gulag? I mean, after all, that's how Russians deal with such situations, but hey. In the west, they enjoy their freedom. Something very unknown in Putin's Russia.

Sportsmen are quiet while they have a huge audience they could use their influence to stop this s**t. All the western benefits for their people will be taken away from them, including making money in the west that they hate so much. It's all gone now as long as they support this BS war. They can always do business and sports events with N.Korea, Belarus, Eritrea, etc.

A lot of people that are approving this shitty war, I have noticed have the same traits.
They are either very often extreme-right wing or hugely into conspiracy theories. Or both...

The first group has slaves mentality and loves to have 'strong leaders'. The second group has a need to be always the opposite of what's trending in the media and search for conspiracies in every single thing. Discovering their own truth from flat earth blogs lol.

We can discuss the economic difficulties caused by this war but it should not end up with intentional falsification of historic events, insults and a never ending fight between proponents of one or the other conflict-party.

Mariupol’s city council alleged on Thursday that Russian forces had seized thousands of artifacts and works of art from the besieged port city and said it was preparing to initiate criminal proceedings. “The occupiers ‘liberated’ Mariupol from historical and cultural heritage. The racists confirmed the theft and removal to Donetsk of more than 2,000 unique exhibits from the museums of Mariupol,” the city council said in a statement over Telegram. “These are original works by Arkhip Kuindzhi and Ivan Aivazovsky. Ancient icons and unique handwritten Tory scroll,” it added. “Made by the Venetian printing house for the Greeks of Mariupol Gospel of 1811 and more than 200 medals from the Museum of Medallion Art Harabet.”

Ukrainian drones destroyed two patrol boats in the Black Sea. Cheap Ukrainian drones and missiles are destroying expensive ships. That cannot go on forever, especially when Turkey will not allow more Russian warships to enter the Black Sea during the pending war.

Perhaps Russia can convince Turkey that it is not really a war, just a special military operation.
On Monday, Ukraine's military chief said a drone destroyed two Russian Raptor-class patrol ships near Snake Island. Russia cannot replace these losses by deploying more ships to attack Ukraine because Turkey controls the straits between the countries and has announced no vessels can enter during the war.

All the pro-Russian forum members had insisted that the war in the Ukraine would cause starvation in third world nations, when it was really Russia's fault for starting the war. Now we know the truth.

Russia is blocking close to 4.5 million tons in grain exports from Ukraine. The Kremlin is preventing approximately 94 ships carrying food intended for the world market from leaving port -- for no reason.

I think when something is destroyed you have to dig deeper to find out who benefits from this? Does Russia really benefit from a food shortage or is Ukraine showing the world how Russia is causing the rest of the world to suffer because of this?
Are there stocks that increase due the obvious domino effect?
There are 2 things that are driving these events: Money and power.

There are many examples where things are destroyed during some sort of chaos and some one cashes in.

It is really strange how the Russians think that everyone who is actually a Jew is a Nazi (Zelenskyy) and that everyone who is actually a Nazi is a Jew (Hitler). If these people really believe these things, then there is some serious mental illness among the Russian leadership.

It is also astounding, and sad, to see just how similar these disinformation campaigns are to the ones from Soviet era times. At this point, it is hard not to conclude that Russian culture is very sick -- to allow such totalitarianism to flourish and to never learn any lessons from history.
