This Arab dictatorship sounds like a nice place

Also interesting that he stayed in Burj Al-Arab hotel, definitely not some poor backpacker.

Nothing new to see here.
Hit the nail on the head as this story happened in 2011.

And as horrific as this is, killing inmates is really nothing exclusive to Dubai. If you want to criticize something about the lifestyle and politics there's plenty to pick. No need to focus on stories like this to proof Dubai is a bad place when this is in fact is something that could have happened everywhere in the world and happens on a regular basis.

Actually there are not many countries left where slavery is actively pursued by the government.
If one feels good living in a desert ruled by psycho beduins, then fine, just don’t complain when s**t happens.

Dubai, Thailand, EU all the same s**t, how do they treat people in the Bahamas, better? Maybe they put them up the tree's chain them there and feed them with Bananas.

Some people may say that an eye for an eye is outdated, but in my opinion this is the way to go. If you care about justice then you should serve equal revange, how does even one want to translate murder/assault into years in prison? Homeless man's time is worth nothing, while millionaire's years are golden.
Also is it better to beat up a guy on spot or waste precious taxpayer's money in prison counted in thousands? If you force inmate into work then these western journalists are gonna cry about modern day slavery.

Also: I agree they bullied him way to hard and he didn't deserve to die. Policemen should beat people only when they are 100% the guy is aggressive and not too hard like in this case.

I fail to see what slavery has to do with a guy killed by the police. As I said in my earlier post, there is plenty of stuff one can criticize about the city of Dubai, inlcuding slavery. But digging up a single 10 year old, none representative case seems rather unproductive.

Luckily we've got science and evidence that this "eye for an eye" concept does not help anyone and causes more harm than good. No need to have an opinion when we've got facts.
