    Belarus Baby

Regarding personal safety I think Baltic states are as much safe as Belarus (criminals either move to Western Europe due to possible heavy jail sentences at home in subhuman conditions, or they kill each other within the same family after getting drunk). There’s no rule of law in Belarus , thus...

Free personal EMI to replace Paysera

Thanks. I will check Solaris’s EMI. Would you recommend anything non-free in Lithuania? I am EU resident. Revolut doesn’t want me (I lost a free card, trolled them about RGPD, so I will never enjoy their services…).

Free personal EMI to replace Paysera

Thanks for the tip on Blackcatcard. It's not for me, as I don't trust Malta. Also, Paysera is good but has a zero tolerance for cryptos. I am looking for the equivalent of Blackcatcard in Germany or Lithuania.

Fidor to be liquidated in 2024, current accounts closed beginning of 2023

I was using Kraken/Fidor. Now I need a replacement to Fidor (personal account), accepting EU tax residents. Any idea ?

    Lawyer suggestion for Lithuania action

Central bank of Lithuania is very helpful when funds are blocked due to financial difficulties of an EMI, as long as one can prove origin of funds.

Verifo EMI asking for source of funds for 50 EUR

I was thinking of Revolut when I read that, indeed. But who else would accept clients from Cuba in the EU ?

Fidor to be liquidated in 2024, current accounts closed beginning of 2023

There's also annual Bierfest in Munich. I want to go there to experience it once, but I guess it will be too late to take the opportunity to visit Fidor offices.

Swiss and co. Crypto Cash out and now?

If you are a taxpayer in Switzerland you should get in touch with the Swiss crypto valley (in Zug I think). There you should get names of banks which would accept your money. There is also Bank Frick in Liechtenstein which is crypto-friendly.

Fidor to be liquidated in 2024, current accounts closed beginning of 2023

I still don't understand why BPCE bought it in 2016 : the concept of community talking about money is not only stupid but not suitable in France, where money is considered dirty. So they didn't even try to launch it in France, only in UK where I don't know why it didn't work. Plenty of...

There is a rumour of FTX insolvency

    Isn't there a Binance.us for US customers ?

Fidor to be liquidated in 2024, current accounts closed beginning of 2023

https://finanz-szene.de/unternehmen/fidor-bank/ In two months it will be over for Fidor (according to one source in german fintech press) I will miss this bank, which allowed me access to Binance and Kraken without answering clueless bank employees questions.

Rietumu - for all victims of fraudulent account closure and theft of funds

In fact they did not keep most of the money they "stole" to clients : they gave it to France https://www.baltictimes.com/french_court_reduces_fine_of_rietumu_banka_for_alleged_engagement_in_money_laundering/ There was a French guy who did openly money laundering with Rietumu's office in Paris...

Swiss and co. Crypto Cash out and now?

So you wouldn't refuse to join a club that accepts you ? Don't know anything specific about Lombard Odier but I wouldn't take it personal if they refuse me. I don't have 50 millions Euros to deposit in such a bank (an amount which would makes me an average client), and with less than 5 millions...

    Poor crypto experience with Bankera

Agreed about understaffing of bank of Lithuania, when they didn’t understand a product they outsourced a third party to explain it to them (was the situation beginning of 2019). They may still do so as the entire thing relies on competitivity. Competitivity being a big problem in Lithuania this...
