Blackcatcard migration - difficulties with incoming/outgoing SEPA transfers

I want to bring to attention to people being new to the Offshore World that another Malta based EMI back in 2017/2018 had similar problems as they had been heavily into Crypto and Offshore Banking in Europe compared with weak KYC - all what fits for Blackcatcard as well which I understand why it's so popular here in this forum however there is a reason why Blackcatcard lost the SEPA Access which is very unusual as you can see even most Eastern Europe EMI's in Lithuania or in the UK with almost only High Risk clients remain able to have SEPA Payments working.

I'm talking about LeuPay later re-branded to LeoPay and then closed down at the end of the day - they switched from MT IBAN's to BG IBAN's as well before disappearing.

You can compare the Trustpilot Profiles to see the similarity:

I'm not saying to stay away from Blackcatcard but keep in mind they are in a High Risk Category and you shouldn't use the service with funds you are not willing to have stuck for several months should they loose SEPA access again.

Stay away as far as you can from this company. Speaking from experience. If you want your business or person to unwittingly end up in an investigation use Blackcatcard, otherwise use something else.

This was not widely reported outside of Malta but read the following:

Chronologically:

1. https://timesofmalta.com/article/gzira-firm-focal-point-largescale-investigation.1085986
2. https://timesofmalta.com/article/pr...ected-secretly-owned-russian-national.1088557
3. https://timesofmalta.com/article/complaints-payment-disruptions-following-blackcatcard-probe.1094364

So especially if you are in a high-risk type of business and want to fly under the radar, I would not get involved with Blackcatcard. Rumors where also swirling around Malta that Blackcatcard was infamous for being used to funnel invoice-fraud proceeds into crypto.

Also, Papaya Ltd. used to have their own Papaya card too and I think they had to close-up shop because they were sanctioned in connection with sanctions-evasion related to the Ukraine war. Definitely a very risky proposition to connect yourself to this bank / firm as all the statements and account info will end up in places you don't want them if they are put under investigation again.

They are now iCard AD and are still in service.
WaOw - so they are the same as here https://www.offshorecorptalk.com/threads/leupay-leopay-and-icard-customer-data-sharing.26720/ from 2019 ?

They just change their name a few times, and most people fall for it, thinking the old scam company has disappeared, but in reality, they’ve just started up under a completely new operation. Great insight, thanks for sharing.

We may open a new thread to discuss them.
