Thank you for sharing this article. Ssome useful information there. Quick question does a Cyprus holding company has to pay tax on dividends received from companies they hold shares?

Yes if you have the Seychelles company incorporated and the original documents available you can Incorporate a Cyprus company as well and let the Seychelles company be the shareholder and director of the Cyp. company.

Some of the benefits is that you can pay dividend to the Seychelles holding company which are not taxed!

The same for a Cyprus company dividends are not taxed just for the correctness of this topic ;)

Sorry for that, thank's for your help.

Yeah indeed old news from 2011 - the good news for 2015 is that it still makes very much sense to establish your company in Cyprus if you want to enter the European marked and do online business. Also using the many double tax treaties Cyprus has with European countries makes in doing a lot of sense to get your Cyprus company setup.

What I find good is that even in 2015 A Seychelles Holding company that own 100% of the shares in a Cyprus company is still working exact same thing as in the past. That shows that it's an long term thing compared to other jurisdictions like Belize and Panama who was the most famous offshore jurisdiction up to 2011 and are completly waste of time and money today!
