How on earth is EUSSR still standing?

Ok hear me out,

There are huge protests in Paris right now and it's not only about retirement age but also because they think the tax system is favorable to the rich. A property wealth tax, income tax rate that can go up to 58,7% (social security included) and €50k malus for cars aren't enough for these middle class people. They're out of touch.

You know what? If the entire EU gets too harsh against hard earned money (Heavy wealth tax, taxing unrealized gains or something similar) and the UK becomes tax heavy like Spain and Switzerland abolish the lump sum tax nationwide then I'll leave this continent for good.

In the case of my squatters there are three of them enjoying free electricity, free water, my furniture, my Tv set, my laundry machine, my air conditioning, and of course the swimming pool, we have to thank the Communist government of Spain for that.

What happens if you just stop paying your bills? As in, not disconnect the electricity or water, just empty the bank accounts used to pay for those. Then the electricity and water companies will cut access themselves.

You can even write letters to these companies begging them to not disconnect the electricity and water, since you have squatters in there. They will still cut off access, big companies are not charities. But that's what you want anyways, and you'll have the letters to show a judge as evidence of no wrongdoing. You are just facing financial difficulties right now.

Remember, when everyone behaves like a clown, sometimes you gotta join the circus too.

I asked my lawyer precisely that same question, and he said "you will have to prove that you are indeed broke, and you couldn't pay your utility bills, they will ask for bank statements to make sure you did not do it on purpose, if you can't prove that you are really broke you will be charged with coercion."

At the end I was charged with coercion and I'm awaiting trail, it should take a couple of years for the trail to take place given how slow the legal system is, by then I will be out of the country and I only need to wait 3 years to come back which is when the statute of limitations runs out, but I won't come back, there's no point.

I hope before the summer the police will get rid of the squatters, it's been long enough.

The bottom line is, this is the result of Socialism & Communism, I could say a lot more about the useless Socialists but there's no point, it is what it is, you either accept it or you go somewhere else, life is too short and too valuable to waste it fighting the system.
If someone doesn't understand why a lot of people, including myself, are now considering voting for the far-right party, this is why.

People are escaping and word is getting out. But for most its their comfort zone that holds them back or Stockholm syndrome.
very true, family reason is another major reason.

Destroying itself from the middle. I got nothing against refugees or people from the outside. Im myself with my family a in germany born immigrant.

Im totally fine with helping people from war torn countries, starvation and so on. What im not fine with when refugees from Ukraine from example come to germany, go to live in newly build apartments in good areas with garden + balcony and a modern setup while driving BMWs, Mercedes and so on and getting everything paid by the Gov while the ordinary people struggle to get a fairly priced apartment on their own. People are paying 40% of their income for housing with some peaking at 60%+. I know enough people from iraq, syria, romania, bulgaria that come here and live of unemployment benefits for years. Some of them do some hidden work and even live better than the ordinary people on minimum wage.

I have nothing against people abusing the system. If there is a way to do it why would someone not do it? But that thing shouldnt be there in the first place. You cant blame the people to look for their own good.

I think the way unemployment and other social benefits are made in cash to people, is very wrong. there should be simple free services and locations that allow people to get back on track if they're in trouble for whatever reason (health, financial, natural disasters, refugees, immigrants who are looking for a better life). like a hostel with many rooms where people can stay for free as long as they're either learning, looking for work, getting help from psychologists and life coaching sessions that explain about the country and their options for peaceful life in that country, etc'. with large dining rooms like in the Kibbuz / Kolhoz / Army bases, providing simple dining options 3 times a day for thousands of people. so nobody will be thrown around on the streets when he's in a difficult situation in life, but also will not abuse the system to get pocket money for drugs and blackjack, while not being interested to change his own fate. people need the correct motivations in order to do something in life, we're a pretty simple organisms in reality, simple primates with extra IQ level but still primates who have basic needs and instincts, if there's a free banana every day then why would we change our life or do something as long as there's a free banana? it doesn't make sense.

At this rate anyone in the EUSSR with a bit of savings is going to do everything they can to escape, I already did, no more EUSSR for me, I only regret not having left a decade ago.
The biggest exodus is taking place in Canada, US, Australia, and EUSSR.
it's kinda funny, where do these people go? for now everyone in SE Asia/India and possibly half of Indonesia, are dreaming to move to Europe. Looks like populations will go circles around the globe, because the neighbors grass is greener :p

Massive difference between a Tenant and a Squatter, 20k homes have been occupied by Squatters during the last year in Spain, it takes anywhere from 1 to 2 years to kick them out, and you are not allowed to cut the electricity or the water supply, if you do you get charged and sentenced for coercion, punishable with up to 2 years in jail plus a fine, it doesn't matter if it's your primary or secondary home, Squatters are protected by the Communist government, so yes this is definitely the EUSSR, I'll be selling that summer home once I can get rid of the squatters and I'll never go back to Spain. Portugal is no different, another Communists government.
wow that's kinda cool, can I go to spain and live in a super luxury villa for a few years without paying and they cannot do anything? it's like in some GTA game, I wanna try :D lol sounds cool af. but what is the consequence to the squatters (whatever it is, never heard this word) after the few years that they live for free, what happens to them, are they charged with debt and cannot exit country until they pay you the full amount and close the case or what? (with interest % ? )

it's worth noting that these are two very distinct groups...
those who see the opportunity to suck the public tit are trying to get to EU/US (can't blame them)
and those who are enslaved to feed that tit are leaving
easy as that, not difficult to see how this will end up

Believe it or not, Spain doesn't punish squatters, other European countries kick them out within 24 hours, and sends them to jail, but not in Spain as it's not a crime under Spanish law.

Squatters can live in your property for free while you pay for their water and electricity (no you cannot cut the water supply or the electricity while the squatters are living in your property, if you do you'll be charge with coercion which is punishable with up to 2 years in jail.)

So basically yes, you can go to Spain and live for free (water & electricity included) and stay there for a few years, and when they finally kick you out you can just go an find another property (the new law dictates that when they're going to kick you out they have to notify you so they don't catch you by surprise. So you can just plan ahead of time and leave the day before the police knock on your door.)

General elections are taking place in Spain this month, the conservative party has promised that if they win they will change the law so squatters can be kicked out within 24 hours, but if the Socialist party stays in power start packing your bags and move to Spain right away.

All this is crazy but sadly true.

Wow, stupid me I keep spending money on real estate while I can pick any villa in Spain for free

I first heard about squatting when reading wim hof's bio. What I questioned since is how do these squatters even get into your property to begin with? They must be breaking in, and isn't that a crime in Spain?

There are different ways in which squatters manage to get into your property.
One is by breaking into the property, when that happens you call the police, they come and you have to prove to the police that the property not only belongs to you, but it's also your main home. The Squatters will throw away all your stuff so when the police walk with you through the property, you won't be able to prove at that moment that you are living there, and they will tell you to go to the courthouse and file a lawsuit, that will take years to resolve.
Also, the Squatters will rent a property, or they will rent a room, they will pay for one month in advance, or just a couple of weeks, and then they will stop paying, once again you have to go through the legal system to kick them out, it will take years!

It's a disaster! People are paying mortgages on properties they can't use because squatters are living there.
You buy a second home by the beach so you have a place to go with your family during holidays, you arrive to your second home only to find a bunch of squatters living in your property, that's it, your holidays are ruined, go back home or find a hotel to stay, wait for a few years to get control of your property, it's insane, all thanks to the useless Socialist/Communist government of Spain, they haven't stopped passing new laws to protect squatters, many are coming for other countries, mainly eastern European countries, to live for free (I have Romanians living in an apartment that I own for free while I pay the electricity & water bill, and if you want to hear something absurd, the squatters filed a lawsuit against me because I cut the Wi-Fi, they were demanding that I turned it on, but by law I can cut everything except water & electricity.)

I know it's difficult to understand that this is how it is, but... Few more weeks and general elections will take place, let's hope the useless leftwing parties become a thing of the past.

This is also the same in germany. It will take 6-24 months to get a renter kicked out (Räumungsklage) if they stopped paying. You can hold them liabel for the unpaid rent but most of the times those people are already f*cked up, repeating the same thing over and over.

left or right nothing will change for good

I agree, they are all Politicians, by nature people that put their own interests first.
But I hope the squatters problem is something that will change (now I understand why people, as it's happened in Italy, decide to vote for the right-wing party, they seem to be the only ones willing to end absurd laws)
The icing on the cake is that you can't even turn the water or the electricity off, WTF?!!

I'm afraid that the elections and central planning is the root cause of what you describe, people will inevitably vote for whatever brings them money - democracy leads to socialism, period

Socialism and Communism are a Cancer in the economy of any county.
It's been more than proven, and let's not even get into other aspects and problems caused by these useless politians, read about how many convicted sex offenders have gone free during the last year thanks to changes made in the law by the current government.

Nothing makes any sense anymore.

Better to reside in countries like Dubai, Qatar and Singapore etc. The masses can't influence their free-market policies, which is for the better. A flaw the founding fathers of the US sadly didn't foresee.

The same thing in Sweden. My former neighbor struggled for ten months because a single mom refused to pay. This was twelve years ago and he still hasn't gotten his money. It's because she's in so much debt she will never be able to pay back. Although the situation in Spain sounds unique since you need a rental contract or something. You can't just break in and squat there. Or at least to my knowledge. Although nothing surprises me about that country any longer

I can't imagine if you used it to store gold or art.
Good luck by the way, and I'd like to make a small correction Gypsies not Romanians ;)
