Incorporate HK Company

Is this related to your other thread you created below where you didnt bother to respond to any of the replies? Have you abandoned idea of a UK company or is this something separate?

I found some for like 780 to 800$ is that expensive or is that a normal price for HK. Do you guys have a better option?

Depends what is including for the price? Otherwise its apples and oranges.

P.S I adjusted your typo in subject header :D.

I can highly recommend cheapincorp.com they are the cheapest if you need local secretary service and local address. If you live there and are willing to have your home address exposed, you can do it for much cheaper. I think if you have your own secretary, you can do it yourself and only pay government fees.

on a sidenote with a HK company, does anyone know if one can achieve a HK residency permit by employing oneself?
I read and heard yes, but how secure is that outcome and if embarking on that road success is pretty much guranteed?

It largely depends on your profile and company. There are visas with more and some with less freedom. But at the moment, they are pretty generous for anybody coming.

do you have more details?

Does it work like Dubai? I set up a company but it does nothing and all good.
Or
Does it work like Singapore? I set up a company, but need to inject at least a billie and pay a monthly millie as director salary to have a draw at getting their precious work permit. ;)

What salary do I have to pay myself etc?

Its very different to Singapore. I've no experience with Dubai.

With HK they expect a business plan (and other supporting documents). However they're not going to hold you to it (renewal is pretty much a rubber-stamping exercise from my personal experience).

You typically need to show $1M HKD in the company accounts, as well as personal assets of over $1M HKD too (there are creative ways to do this, such as getting a short-term loan from a family member etc).

While those amounts are not spelt out in the requirements exactly, it's the general consensus amongst the agents that I've spoken to.

Good to know. Dubai is pretty much as documented on this forum.

I recommend www.cheapincorp.com you only pay $1940 HKD on top of the government fees and you get all you ever need to run your company, including registered address, secretary, mail scanning, etc. The service is so cheap that they cannot hire monkeys that will waste your time with BS questions. Nor does it come with any other unpleasant surprises in form of useless questions or other forms or requests you don't want to deal with.

I wish there were auditors like this in Hong Kong as well, most of them force you to sign a ton of papers like AML statements and force you to appoint them as your tax representative and then reformulate your entire annual report.

I can highly recommend them. They work in accordance with the principle of customer-centered service:
Their service is the best for all you need.
Their service is inexistent when it comes to monkeys servicing the government.
