What's our current opinion on Nevis as a Jurisdiction for incorporation and banking?
I'm thinking of moving my Seychelles entity there to have a few more banking options. In particular interest is a crypto friendly bank - looking at Hamilton Reserve Bank.
Any opinion on either Nevis as company jurisdiction or the banking there?

Hi @mnschwarz ,

jurisdictions like Seychelles and Nevis together with a crypto friendly bank is very hard as the jurisdiction itself is already considered high risk.

We were already asked several times about Hamilton Reserve Bank by clients and all the clients had one thing in common before they went with Dubai: they were desperate.

So taking a look at Hamilton there is a lot of bla bla without really saying something. They even don't disclose there Wire Instructions anywhere on the website so I doubt that they will have just simple instructions and using some 1 pager instructions to receive money - this won't work with all major Crypto Exchanges.

So they claim to be crypto friendly and maybe provide some custodian service or do the OTC on your behalf that comes with % of course.

So all in all Hamilton is some type Capital Security, EPB or Caye bank and seeing your past with Banking in SG - UAE/Dubai should be more the direction to look into to get local UAE or Switzerland/Liechtenstein banking access. There are UAE based banks with presence in Switzerland working with crypto.

Long story short you can still achieve a setup with the same remarks of your Seychelles company with the UAE and Crypto can be managed as well - however jumping from island to island doesn't improve really anything and will become more worse each year. The days of this jurisdictions are count no matter what.
