Due to a very high workload we haven't been able to post this news before now, but thanks to the attention of our clients we have been made aware of the following TIEA's (Tax Information Exchange Agreement) signed between the countries listed below and the Seychelles:

  • Greenland - The Seychelles (30 March 2011)
  • Faroe Islands - The Seychelles (30 March 2011)
  • Iceland - The Seychelles (30 March 2011)
  • Finland - The Seychelles (30 March 2011)
  • Denmark - The Seychelles (30 March 2011)
  • Norway - The Seychelles (30 March 2011)
  • Sweden - The Seychelles (30 March 2011)

So what does that mean for you?

As for now we do not see any huge impact to people who are residents of one of the above listed countries, because the agreement signed between the Seychelles and each country need to be approved first, the treaties are bilateral and have to be processed by the national parliaments before they become binding.

If you are into tax evasion and live in one of the above listed countries it may be a bad news also I would recommend you to move to another offshore jurisdiction. However, if you have planned your tax carefully and the reason to go offshore was anonymity and privacy towards customers and clients, then nothing changed.

Seychelles is sufficient. As far as I know then they don't have any TIEA with Greece.
