You risk being blacklisted from banks, payment processors, crypto exchanges, and just about anything where your identity is used/misused. It can be very difficult to clean up a mess like that.

Professional nominees have a very thorough due diligence process before they accept a customer, and ongoing due diligence to make sure things are legit.
