P2P guilty plea

In the feds, it's a body for a body! ;)

PS. He was an easy honeypot! Had he split that $5M in 20 accounts with $250K each, nobody would care to go after him. But as the Cubans say in Calle Ocho in Miami: "El alarde Cubano mata" smi(&%

Lol...he was the highest volume trader for two years in Miami i.e narco trafficking route . He gonna get maximum sentence and will likely still have to pay any taxes owed.

Rodriguez, also known online as RaulTioVigia, was the highest-volume trader for LocalBitcoins for about two years in Florida, according to federal prosecutors.

Federal investigators in Miami with the Internal Revenue Service, the FBI, and the Drug Enforcement Administration worked together on the case.

Rodriguez’s sentencing was set for 11 a.m., April 2, at Miami federal court. He faces up to five years in prison.

Depends....if he is now ratting out others, SUBSTANTIAL ASSISTANCE, 5K1.1 MOTIONS, AND RULE 35 MOTIONS, or became a Confidential Informant or Cooperating Witness...he may NOT even do prison time...but even if he goes to prison, he may just be there as a Jailhouse Informant to infiltrate the inner circle of inmates the feds suspect has money hidden (e.g Cash, Bitcoin, Monero, Gold etc). The feds pay good.... up to 30% of the loot they seize.
(and when the feds do it...there is NOTHING that can be done about  )

This is ONLY the FBI: FBI Informants Involved in 22,800 Crimes in Decade: Report - The Crime Report

DEA, ATF, IRS, and others are even worse

True but not sure what value he would be to them now. He was just some random dude on localbitcoin and not an insider of a criminal organization etc. They would have offered him some sort of plea deal already if it was the case.

Maybe, we'll see.... and only find out after he is released and his probation is over...

Many factors come into play e.g.
(1) if they sentence him within the range based on his PSI
(2) and the sentencing guidelines
(3) and if the courts don't do a downward departure at or after sentencing (re-sentencing)
(4) and he does complete his full sentence (based on the amended 18 U.S.C. § 3624(b): so he can earn up to 54 days of good time credit for every year of their imposed sentence rather than for every year of their sentenced served)
...then we know for sure he got shafted smi(&%
But knowing the feds...they WILL make him an offer and knowing +99.99% of the elements in there, he'll take the deal... Lockdown is at 21:30 and the phones won't turn back on until 08:00, so this gives his significant other (assume they stay with him; most relationships will NOT last past 18 months anyway) plenty of time to enjoy themselves without the fear of getting caught dev56"""

PS. I'm NOT joking here... the feds would pay PIs to take pictures of the inmates' wives out and about (public) and bring it in to show and tell the inmate to snitch on the others because their wives/GFs are cheating on them and spending their money on other guys. +99.99% of the most hardcore inmates WILL snitch at this point... The accused will NOT only sing, but they'll compose as well rof/% rof/% rof/% rof/%
I heard this line first in the early '80s and it stuck with me ever since...
