Promotion using PTCs

I actually wanna know if these kind of advertising on the net is helpful to the companies that hire the ads. I mean all that users do in PTCs is mechanically click ads and earn the few cents without lookin at the ads. What are the promoters going to get in return? Is this type of advertising profitable to advertizers?

No. Definitely not. The amount of money spent on this type of advertising should be used in pay-per-click advertising. But if you're advertising something related to online money making, you'll get good response.

but i am asking if the sites which offer these ads are profitting from it. The product they try to advertize is never viewed properly n yet they pay? Weird for me.
