Revolut is closing my account because I refuse to provide an explanation of where funds that enter the account come from. This is odd, because I barely use it and my balance has been 0 for a while. Anyway, that's another neobank app deleted from my phone.

They chose to become a bank and I choose not to use it. Plenty of EMIs around that don't ask you anything.

Most of the time it's the paranoid compliance department that comes up with requests such as these.
The source of funds that enter the account, presenting you with a list of options (employment, investments, etc). No matter what option you picked, you had to upload documents and a brief explanation. Or you could refuse and they would close your account. This is happening with my european Revolut account.

Do you have a source on this date? I've seen you mention it in other threads, too. That all EMIs will be reporting to the CRS after 2025.
If you mean the date for the very strict AML/CTF procedures and consequent asking for piles of papers then this date is just my personal estimation.

They asked for extra level verification (cause normal source of fund a gave them already)
And in this I had to provide 2 docs
1. Source of funds - Savings
2. Industry
Problem is, whatever you choose on 2, you need to give them docs that is 3 months old a max.
Which is very weird, if source of funds Savings.
Even if I choose industry - Unemployed, they require some official document about it.
Support was totally useless and replied worse than GPT 3
