They say Russians are corrupt. It is true, but their corruption is very direct, not sophisticated.

I was reading that Obama administration paid 2bn to build health care website.

I am a software engineer. 2bn is too much,

1-5 mm is fair. I think there is a lot corruption in US that goes untouched by media.

So it all relative at end of day.

In the West there is corruption it’s just hidden better - I.e lobby government to pass a bill on your favor - donations along the way to their reelections and when they resign speaking fees

In the global south it’s better because once you give them their dues they f**k off and don’t hang around like a bad smell.

In Russia - no clue.
