How do banks generate the thumbnails in bank statements?

For example N26 show thumbnail(logo) for nearly all transactions. Like Big super markets but also show logo in transaction from like random stuff like Sevilla Cathedral

Do some merchant allow for thumbnail logo upload or do N26 have some service provider who provides them with logo?
