That's unexpected. UAE ruler has died (NPR news). What do you guys think can be consequences of this for UAE?

Not much will change as the UAE are just a puppet state.

If one considers that e.g. Germany wants to increase the retirement age to 70 years, a death with young 73 is already violent.

Absolutely nothing. Muhammed was the defacto ruler for a long time, just like how MBS is the defacto ruler in Saudi arabia. The Federal Supreme Council will appoint muhammed bin zayed as the new ruler and that's it.
