Hi,

I want to know what business activity is allowed by the banks in Cyprus or rather, what is it they don't accept?

So far I know they don't want the following business activity:

  • Adult business
  • Online Gambling
  • Pharmacy
  • Dating

What else is there if I don't want to get declined by the banks I will need to know from the very beginning if they will accept my business or new found business in the future.

It is much easier to list or describe what business you are into and get an answer to it rather than the opposite.

Problem is that I always start new businesses and for that reason it would be nice to have an indication from the banks what they accept simply to avoid to start something that is impossible to open a company and bank account for.

If you keep a business strategy that comply to the applicable laws and you don't do any shady business you won't need to worry about it!

Okay let me mention a few of my businesses:

1) Internet Marketer, most affiliate programs like clickbank and CPC programs

2) E-Books, reselling e-books that I bought rights for

3) Software packages most utilities and tools for your PC

4) SEO Services, do link building, website optimizing and so on

5) Selling E-Bay & Amazone Products

Do you think all of the banks in Cyprus allow these type of businesses? What I have seen so far is they applied some restrictions on business for instant software!

All the mentioned are not allowed... so you can count Financial services with St. Vincent unlicensed company and unlicensed services general speaking. If you want an account for such stuff you either need to fool the banks (don't try that it will hurt) or you need to find some of these Bana Humbo Gumbo Banks in some of the offshore jurisdictions.

Also some of the banks don't like Internet business any longer because of such asses that didn't provided real information! You may stick with such banks that are still allowing this business which is the future and I wonder how long they will reject such!

Only restrictions are casino, adult and shady business :D otherwise you can apply as long as you can provide a detailed business description and a website that looks legit they will approve it.
