1M in BTC for instant citizenship of El Salvador

interesting comparison - will they let you live there in peace and not skinning you alive on taxes? I mean Japan is totally neglected here... there must be a reason
Well, I lived there before and loved it, but Akihabara Electric Town lost its appeal, and Shenzhen was up and coming and undercutting them left & right.

During that time, there were NO wealth taxes, so I was doing great! I didn't "generate" income in/from Japan, so I surfed under the "wave." Also, I was regarded as a non-permanent resident taxpayer for 5 years. I think it was called the 5 year tax rule or something like that. It's been a while, so I am not sure anymore. The point is, I lived there for 5 years and paid zero taxes. I wrote about it here: Who are the most aggressive and least aggresive tax authorities?

Those were the good old days ;)

Of course, +20 years later, please DYOR

so tell me... who is considering this? :D
its old already, but not a competitive offer at all. Thats why no one cares about it.
Its not even a subpar investment where you could at least keep some of it, but a flat out donation.
Priced like all the development already happened and if it was Singapore today. But in latam, such things can turn within a week.

Sounds very fair and quick if your someone holding vast crypto who wants a better passport asap (6 weeks). I would only consider it for the novelty factor if I was sitting on at least $20m+ in BTC/USDT. Otherwise there are cheaper programs. But for some however visa free/easier visa travel to 137 countries and not having to off ramp out of crypto maybe worth it conf/(%.

I don't have any "tangible" skills (in the eyes of ordinary person working for the government) nor desire to "work" any more
I think we're probably in the same boat! ;)

I love what I do. The constant walking, inspecting, and paying for different products keeps me on my toes. Hibernating in an office cubicle isn't very appealing to me, no matter how much money I earn.

What’s their wallet address?
i heard you need to pay thru a payment processor and us citizens need to use a specific one.

1m$ for this s**t hole? what a a scam. malta is 750k euro real estate, caribbean CBI is around 200 k usd donation and other options are way better
yup, way too much at this point.
Once coup away and all policies will be reversed as is typical in latam. Its all very unstable and fresh. Way too fresh to be asking for 1m.
Id wait until at least 1 admin handover has been achieved and at least the illusion of some form of stability can be witnessed. Or that bukele dude stays for live as a true dictator.

That's the ONLY way! Knowing the inferiority complex MOST people of Latin America suffer from, I would NOT trust ANY of them. Bukele studied in the US and witnessed that his other classmates were NOTHING special, so he isn't going to "allow lesser men to cuckold him and make him their b1tch." smi(&% rof/%

caribbean CBI is available for russians as well as far as i know
Nope. Only Vanuatu but I'm sure that will end soon.

Regarding the 1m$ in BTC for a passport of El Salvador - I think there's no point if you don't plan to live there, as it would not be treated better than any Caribbean CBI passport.

This really reminds me of Palau ID. Seems like the "Premium Deluxe Version". (Besides that this is an actual citizenship, compared to Palau "ID" and probably has some valid use cases).

Anyways I think you can do yourself way better with 1M for citizenship, not sure either if an El Salvadorian Passport is that favourable for banking ns2.
