OffshoreCorpTalk is one of the largest and most popular forums for offshore company formation. This online forum has more than 13000 active members, making it an extremely useful resource for anyone interested in this topic area. Members are drawn from across the world and from all sides of the industry: every day sees new posts and comments from company owners, banking professionals, tax lawyers, business consultants, insurance agents, accountants, financial planners, and other industry experts.

History
The OffshoreCorpTalk forum can trace its history back to 2009 when it was set up under the domain name of CClogic. It was initially intended to be used as a support platform for CClogic’s client base of customers looking to set up an offshore company. For a number of reasons, CClogic took the decision to close down the site in 2014.

Sensing the demand for a dedicated platform for offshore matters, industry expert Brian Larsson acquired the rights to the site for a nominal fee. From his extensive business development experience in offshore companies, Larsson believed there was an opportunity to build a central resource for individuals interested in this area.

In 2016, after significant research, development, and investment, the forum was rebranded and relaunched as OffshoreCorpTalk. The new format was specifically designed to make information about going offshore more interesting, relevant, and accessible.

Offshore Company Formation
There are many reasons why an individual or company may consider moving their business offshore. Potential advantages include tax reduction, better tax planning, lighter regulation, stronger asset protection, access to new markets, cheaper manufacturing costs, and greater privacy. An enhanced lifestyle, a better work/life balance, and a lower cost of living may also be possible.

OffshoreCorpTalk has been expressly designed as a place where everyone can research and investigate their own personal opportunities. It covers all aspects of relocating offshore, from the setup and registration of companies in any part of the world to the requisite banking and financial services. There is also a wealth of other useful information to facilitate the move offshore.

Different International Options For Moving Offshore
The idea of an offshore company often brings to mind a retired tycoon sipping a cocktail on a beach in an exotic location like the Cayman Islands or Bermuda. However, the reality of moving a business offshore is often much more mundane and down to earth.

Many companies choose to move offshore and incorporate in the small US state of Delaware, for example. Delaware offers competitive tax rates and a highly efficient, corporate-friendly legal system, including the Court of Chancery, which rules on corporate law without recourse to juries.

A US or Asian company looking to grow its market share in Europe may choose to offshore in Ireland because being headquartered there gives unfettered access to EU markets. Or a business may look at relocating to EU member Estonia due to its excellent record in reducing tax liabilities.

There will always be investors and entrepreneurs who value their privacy above all else, and for them, banking and financial services in places like the Caribbean or Latin America are the perfect choice. Traditional European tax havens like Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands also remain a popular choice, as do the Seychelles in Africa and Singapore in Asia. But many less obvious locations have much to commend them if you are thinking about moving offshore: countries such as the Netherlands, Portugal. Spain, Switzerland, and the UAE are all worthy of consideration.
