Bankera account suspended and funds frozen

Hi all,

after using it for almost 2 years, my account got blocked with funds frozen on it.
No notification, no email or anything by support.
I was receiving only 1-2k eur per month, my account was upgraded for business purposes and went through all 3 levels of verification.

I understand they can suspend it for no reason, but do they have a right to keep the funds. What are my options here?

What @wellington was alluding to is that nowadays, financial institutions will freeze, seize, suspend, etc., any account that may be Russian or affiliated with Russians. This is disheartening but true. So, a Russian name or Russian-sounding name is a BIG no-no, sadly!

A bank tried that with me, but I'm confrontational as H3LL, so I showed up at their headquarters and waited for them outside in a wheelchair. Long story short, they suspected that I was still doing business with Russia/Russians, so I offered them to let their IT "experts." go through my phone in my presence.

Of course, the phone I use to speak to the bank is NOT the same phone I confabulate with "others."

PSS. Start gathering the names of the Bankera people you deal with and take notes. It's ammunition for you...just in case!

Maybe it is why @Gediminas don't come here any longer when it comes to Bankera questions! In the past there have been tons of reports about Bankera freezing money leaving people without answers or money!
 
unfrotunately i found this after my account is in same position, otherwise i would not use them, there are tons of same reviews online.

btw
I do not have any Russian names on statements, I was receiving money bases on freelancing software development only from companies in Germany for what I have provided invoices and contract in the beginning to validate few initial transactions after my account was marked as Level 3 Authentication passed.

support responded today after 5 days that my account is not suspended permanently but temporarily frozen due to standard random procedure review due to safety of their customers. they don't know how long this procedure will take.

lol, i guess review will probably take forever, such a shame that bank can do this and regulator allows them to operate.

Sometimes it pays off to complain here on OCT – but their response is useless and feels like a joke.
