Best/safest Swiss ETF Bitcoin

why would he push a neighbor (not a company or any kind of regulated entity) to buying ETF? do your job and make him buy and hold it
He’s 60+ and had two heart attacks - stroke and he’d loose his keys - the benefiter will be based in Swiss and not his current girlfriend

Five heart attacks rather

Most of my friends range from 60-90 I am half their age++ - I treat them like parents/grandparents

Therefore having their own bitcoin would be foolish in their own custody.

If It's for long term (holding), why not just buying BTC in a normal way (own custody) and buy on the side like 2 ledgers hard wallet. One with him and the second one (clone) (or the keys words) in a Bank safety box in a third country?

Understood for the age of your friend, but if you need to fit with the others criteria (no US no EU no Swiss), can be a solution too.

He is more likely to fall for a phishing scam.
If he trusts you, you could hold the seed phrase in custody for him. Or he could give it in a sealed envelope to a notary as an attachment to his will, together with some simple instructions, to be opened only by the designated person when the time comes.

I guess there is some space for the banks in future - custody of bitcoin for those who cannot do it themselves is pretty straightforward - nevertheless whoever is capable of having a child and taking care of it is probably able to self-custody bitcoin

Looks like some UBS clients could benefit from this, check this out.

But I will also say, buying BTC ETF is retarded.

JP Morgan, Blackrock, and other companies want to hijack Bitcoin so that it never becomes an exchange currency that preserves value and puts an end to their paper fiat money. That's why they want to turn it into a financial asset through their ETF. Don't be stupid, not your keys - not your coins.

Swiss neighbor wants some bitcoin told him to do a ETF instead - any recommended Swiss ETFs? Not EU/US
he should open an account at postfinance or at a few cantonal banks wherever he likes Id say there are at least a dozen offering such things by now, they offer custody in a sandboxed way thru syngum.
Since hes swiss and swiss resident (maybe?), its a very easy play.

in case hes not swiss resident, he could get one of the hk etfs which are in kind and dont come with the complicated issue of usa listed stuff in case of a departure thru heart attacks and HK market is wildly available in Asia thru local or SG based brokers (or HK ofc).

Seed phrase in a sealed envelop. Step by step instructions on how to access the wallet in another envelop. Each envelop in a different safe, in different bank. He can write on his will who will inherit the enveloppes.
BUying ETF may have inheritance tax implications. I guess he is wealthy and do not buy him for himself but for his legacy. Just assuming here. Probably better to hold the BTC directly even at his age for these reasons.
