Bond selector tools

You can start from the tools available with your investment platforms (IBKR, Saxo, Bondsupermart/FSMOne, etc.) or private bank. They have their own limitations though.

Public data on bond prices is usually not the most reliable and pricing data are almost always off. If available, it is still worth having a look at info on exchange websites (Luxembourg, Frankfurt, etc.)

If you are ready to pay here are your options from the cheapest to the most expensive/best:
1- Cbonds (I believe it is around $3-$4k/year)
2- Refinitiv Eikon
3- Bloomberg terminal (nothing beats it but it's $25-$30k/year)

I love the bond scanner function of Interactive Brokers. Live data from Refinitiv and it displays in one table all the information you need including bid ask prices, annual yield adjusted for today etc so you can compare easily between different bonds and maturity dates. I always do the reverse maths with my own formulas on the annual yield and it’s always exact.

Silly question from a beginner, but what do you use such a scanner for when trading stocks?
