I came across the European comission's website and was chocked that we are already so far

When I read about it first time here on OCT I thought it would be a thing in 5 or 10 years but we are so close to it already!!

This and the digital EURO will be total disruption of privacy for any EU citizens!!

How will this apply to all the former European colonies who have European passports but have never lived in Europe?

The part they don't tell you is it will be required to access certain internet sites....or sorry prove your age ;). Expect an updated GDPR and internet anonymity gone if your in EU. All the big tech companies such as google, apple, Facebook will be forced to work with this tech. And yes the digital Euro will be integrated into this.

P.S Get out of EU while you still can and don't look back as I have said for years eek¤%&.

I think it kind of makes sense to prevent kids from watching porn, violent stuff etc.
Hope it wont be used for other purpose...

I vehemently disagree! By watching porn, I realized that I got into a bait & switch con job when I got married too young. I was able to reassess my mistake and able to evacuate that sinking & depreciating ship just in time (<4 years later)! rof/%

violent stuff etc.
I also wholeheartedly disagree. I was able to learn at a very young age that NOTHING in this world matters except physical force/violence in self-defense mode or as a deterrence to aggression. Nobody, no matter how much they believe in their "conviction", is going to try to forcefully impose it on Mike Tyson in the middle of the Amazon jungle alone. ;)

Hope it wont be used for other purpose...
There is a great book called Amazon.com: The Laws of Human Nature eBook : Greene, Robert: Kindle Store

It will help you overcome self-defeating beliefs about abusive and dastardly humans.

very true, I whish I was able to move out of Europe. So far I checked with the USA which is from what I'm searching in matters of lifestyle etc. exactly what I could work with. However, the USA seems to not be better compared to the EU nor is it easy to get in there without millions on the account.

What's your thoughts about Switzerland, I relocated there last year, everything looks fine and good so far?
Everything the EU does is adopted by Switzerland. More stringent, precise and faster than most EU countries are doing it.
Curious, do you have some examples ?

Curious, do you have some examples ?
Schengen, "Free movement of Persons", FIDLEG, FinSA/FinSO, SNV norms being adjusted to European norms, EU open access policy to transportation and energy sector .....
The list is endless. Most do not even know because the country has gradually lost its identity since gates have been opened in 2002.

Leave the country as soon as you can. Otherwise you're just living in an expensive EU satellite state.

Depends on your taste largely and what you like in life. Some like Asia, some others prefer Latam a lot more...

Latin America, Africa, South East Asia and Middle East are good spots. Low unfunded liabilities and social benefits.
Im back of being somewhat nomadic in these places since travel is now free again.

Running a stock portfolio in Switzerland might be ok (if you do not depend entirely on it), active frontier businesses might call for more trouble etc.

Would that include Switzerland and Monaco too?

They will mostly likely participate in some form.

These are already surveillance states. And the people will welcome it as they did overwhelmingly for new surveillance laws in Switzerland.
