Hi all

I have been told that HSBC can setup an online bank account for a HK company, and that there is no in person interview required.

(I have a HK company but I am currently outside of HK so I cannot go to HK to setup the company account. My company secretary is currently in HK and can attend any meetings required).

A few questions:
- has anyone done this?
- what is the website or link to do this?
- can anyone share their experience with this.
- any other thoughts or ideas (even with alternative banks such as Shanghai HK Banking corp or DBS - I do not want to use transferwise or anything online like that).

During the many years in online business I have often come across HSBC and was tempted to apply for a bank account with them. Many years ago, I tried but they rejected my case, never tried since.

If it's possible to get an account opened remote as an foreigner it may be worth it.

I have never heard anyone tried to open HSBC account remotely. Maybe if you have 5 million to invest, but for regular folk, it is almost impossible.
