Hello OCT pros,

I am in a situation where EU based company offered me a long term 'advisory role' in jurisdiction where my net salary, if getting employed by this company, will get completely devastated by income tax, social security, and other BS. At the same time, I still want to run my private business, so I am discussing if there is a way to hire me as an independent advisor. If, this is getting confirmed, then I am thinking to setup offshore entity and optimize my taxes, staying under the radar without leaving too much money on the table for greedy bureaucrats, any advise on what kind of setup should I plan and which jurisdiction ? Thanks

Not really many things you could do unless you move out to a better jurisdiction. you could try setting up a private limited in Singapore or in Dubai but if your country is strict with CFC laws and you're the only proprietor, your country will chase you down and claim revenue earned by your company

There's a setup available whereby you'd become and employee of UK limited company that's part of a consulting consortium, and be paid the minority of your contract rate as employee income via that company. The company would contract you out to your clients. Then you receive the balance less fees and taxes (much lower than being paid 100% as an employee or sole trader) to a company outside of the UK that's in a zero CT jurisdiction, paid as referral fees under a separate B2B agreement with the consortium. Also a way to generate new consulting work in your field.
