Hi I did some research and it seems in some cities in China cost of living is extremely low for example city of Changsha with 8 million people.

Indices DifferenceInfo
Consumer Prices in Changsha are 23.1% lower than in Bangkok (without rent)
Consumer Prices Including Rent in Changsha are 34.0% lower than in Bangkok
Rent Prices in Changsha are 59.9% lower than in Bangkok
Restaurant Prices in Changsha are 16.3% lower than in Bangkok
Groceries Prices in Changsha are 18.2% lower than in Bangkok
Local Purchasing Power in Changsha is 63.0% higher than in Bangkok

Much cheaper even than Bangkok! The city looks nice on google maps, it's not western europe standard but should be more civillized and less crime than Thailand, Malaysia, Latin America.
What do you think? Or is China not welcoming to foreigners? how about tax? or maybe is it possible to invest in real estate with attractive yield ? Does anyone have experience doing business / living in China?

You cant compare Changsha with Bangkok, but with an Isaan city like Udon for example to get the correct answer.
You have to compare Bangkok with Shenzen and Shanghai which is maybe 10% difference, which is a negligible difference.
Crime is also quite selective and depends who you are and what you do.

Yes, I do. To say the least, it has a very steep learning curve and overall is very difficult started at the language which is an absolute must to have a small chance of success.
You gotta figure it out yourself if its your cup of tea.

If you look for dirt cheap, Vietnam countryside cities are easier than China, but not easy on an absolute level.
