Malta just announced a new Residence Program for Digital Nomads.

In practice you should show your employment contract or your own business ownership certificate, to have at least 2.7k€ a month of income, health insurance and a lease contract in order to apply.

The difference with the Self Sufficient Residence Program, is that you don't have to pay taxes on remitted income and 5k fixed tax above the 35k of personal income.

Moreover, if I don't mistaken, you don't have the obligation to spend 183 days on the island.

Should this work with a foreign company (EG: Uk LTd, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania) and allow you to pay only the corporate taxes and live free to move during the year wherever you want?

I mean this kind of residency will be useful in case your home country (Ex: Spain, Italy, France, Germany) would challenge you about your effective place of residence (ofc if you don't live there more than 183 days)?

What do you think guys?

In theory yes but depends on the company structure in your home country or where you incorporate your main business to show the salary coming from.

LTD by UK definition is tax resident. So more complicated but you can pay all profits out as salary. Just a bit more accounting.
