1) Report your own assets over 50,000 EURO in value by law.
2) Seizure of assets for 'tax'. (that's like seizing a home to pay a tax, where a payment plan would normally suffice).
3) Reporting of Debit/Credit card transactions.

That's like tyranny on steroids.

The Treasury is also planning to fight tax evasion more aggressively. It is looking to force banks and electronic money institutions to report on all card transactions.

A royal decree, which came into force on Feb.1, expands the number of entities to be given tax collection powers. Until now, only banks, savings banks and credit cooperatives could report to the Treasury.

I think if i were spanish i'd just renounce citizenship even if it meant i could only obtain some 3rd world shithole citizenship.

Because the slippery road to tyranny is well trod here.

if one looks at history (from books i read and good friends i have from these places which have been affected in the past): communists can and eventually will do everything nasty possible. First it starts slow then it becomes nasty.
No amount of compliance will help, its more like digging your own grave.

Step 1. Report your crypto assets
Step 2. Be hit by unexplained wealth order
I wish it was only the Spanish tax authorities that acted this way, but unfortunately, it's more the rule than the exception that tax authorities in the EU behave like this. The EU is developing into a socialist dictatorship where the citizen is the slave and the powerful state can tell the citizen what to do and what not to do. If he has too much, we take it from him, we just call it tax, and then it's legitimate. If they complain, we just say it's for the welfare of society, which is fair enough.

The saying "get out of the eu while you still can" of a famous member here was not just some empty talking.

I'm not certain if an African or Asian country would be my ideal home; being too Western for that to work for me. Something in between would work perfectly fine for me: Switzerland, Portugal (even though they belong to Europe), and France could make great candidates if located outside Europe and had similar rules - unfortunately such an ideal scenario does not exist so those like myself who prefer traditional Western societies may just have to adjust with reduced human rights and free trade policies instead.

Switzerland has its own issues, in Asia however it's very much Western on my road...

And that's because you did not find out yet about the new Spanish Tax Agency's acquisition. They have bought to Israel the software "Cellebrite Pathfinder" (similar to Pegasus). They can install it in your phone and access all your data: pictures, conversations, the timeline with all your locations, documents, your calls and messages,... everything.

Why you think it is only EU - what's your meaning about rest of the world, they ain't different??
I second that. If you don't see yourself in one of a territorial taxation countries like Thailand and you aren't retired so you can drink pina colada all day long on a sunny Caribbean island you have very few options.

its very clear to see. Rest of the world is much better. Some of Latam has some tendencies to be quite socialist too tho, but there you have ways of mitigating things. ;)
Africa and Asia is where the music plays.
Being robbed on the street in Latam or by the state in the EU, I would prefer the latter.

True, but remember, to get all that info, someone needs to physically get their hands on your phone first. It's a forensic tool for when you've got the device. Pegasus, though, is a whole different story.

Old school mostly does beat new school.
