Change to Design of OffshoreCorpTalk Today -> Count Down 3,2,1.....

Although I seem to be in the minority, I'm actually quite fond of this new design. This may be due to the fact that I'm using my desktop and logging into the site from RDPs that I have set up in my bases/homes around the world. However, there are some areas of the site that need improvement. For instance
  1. the search function doesn't seem to work in Brave, Mozilla, or Safari.
  2. When I logged in from my iPhone, it's just sections that appeared (like crypto currency section, Company formation section, General discussion section) not new threads or posts, While this is helpful, I'd prefer to see new posts first so that I can engage in meaningful conversations.
  3. Additionally, the light mode can be quite blinding, so I prefer to use the dark mode. However, even in dark mode, some elements of the site, such as avatars (it's small), could benefit from optimization.
  4. The mentor group gold icon could be made more visible to attract new users to subscribe. Also, signatures do not appear properly, and the "toggle signature" button is not very intuitive. Most people wouldn't want more ads in their face, so it's convenient for them. However, this comes at the expense of the advertisers here, whose contributions keep the forum up and running.
  5. Lastly, the mentor group icon status in the top right is just a square, and notification alerts need to be clearer. When there's a notification, I only see a red dot at the end of my name.

Despite these issues, I still like the design and believe it just needs some optimization to be great.

There is no dark version with the new design! The lack of this, which was actually the standard version of OCT makes this site even less readable.
Honestly, it seems the developer has tested this site only on a desktop. He never took into account that in today's world users are more likely to post by using a mobile phone.
Btw., this site has become largely unusable in the mobile version of Mozilla (Firefox): Try to edit a post using Mozilla mobile version and the entire post always moves around due to the blue "Home" bar.

I am gone for now. Will wait until these technical design flaws have been fixed before posting again.
There is a dark mode just go to settings and toggle it (although imo it would maybe have been a good idea to set it as the standard).

But overall great redesign! Of course unfortunate that the search functionality is broken (also in my browser, Dark mode = on, Chromium based browser).

@backpacker

do tryout accessing the forum, via the google chrome mobile browser, as its readily stable and functional.

moreover such, major upgrade would require a few tweaks here and there, so as to achieve stability longterm across devices, browsers and systems.

inline with the OCT forums dark theme/version, get the google mobile browser on your device, and access dark theme options below:

1.via user account settings dashboard(preferences)
..the UI provides a dropdown Menu with options such as:
offshorecorp auto detect
offshorecorp dark
offshorecorp light
select the dark option, save settings and refresh browser..

2. moreso select the Small font size category just under the Style dropdown menu.

3. At the footer of the forum page where you have the social media thumbnails for FB,Reddit,Twitter, Youtube Etc.

to your far left you would notice a slider button.
just above the Terms and Rules, policy etc.

push/slide button that to the left for access to dark theme OCT...

the above steps, should sure adjust and buffer to your required needs as per the mobile google chrome browser.

scroll down to the bottom of the site, there you have a slider you can click on but also you can see the options on the left to click on and switch to the dark ;)

Looks like we have it all managed now. 99% of all reported errors and changes are done by now, but keep coming with what you may find.

  • Dark theme is default now
  • INVOICES are available again https://www.offshorecorptalk.com/user-upgrade-invoice/
  • Search functions works now
  • Contact form shows up
  • colors adjusted
  • Mentor Group Gold and Silver membership batches show up
  • Avatars made larger
  • Mobile issues fixed. At least what we can replicate from here
  • Latest Post show up also on mobile now
We hope you enjoy the new theme and also continue the good work around here, we appreciate all your input, being around and be part of the community.

How to remove the turquoise bar (Home/Community/Menu) which has a habit of moving by itself when scrolling up/down?
This turquoise bar is highly annoying. Not only does it take up about 1/4 of a mobile screen, it also moves very often by itself to the center of a page (see attached screenshot).

What smartphones and browsers are you using?

I tested on iPhone 14 with Safari, no issues at all. On iPad Pro everything also looks nice and sweet.
