Hello, everyone! We’re back here with another quick update regarding the OffshoreCorpTalk forum, a public service announcement that may concern every user on our platform.

After weeks of discussions, we’ve decided the forum has gone a bit too big for our management team. We’ve got more than 23,500 members and over 260,000 posts and numbers keep going up relatively fast. Therefore, we’ve decided to enlarge our team with an extra member.

Welcoming Forester to our moderator team
If you’ve been around for a while, you may have seen Forester around. He’s one of the most active contributors to the forum, but he’s also extremely active in various threads, showing great skills and knowledge regarding different offshore applications and jurisdictions.

Forester has been with the OffshoreCorpTalk forum for a few years now and has always provided relevant information and a good service, without even being part of the team.

Starting today, he’s part of our professional team of moderators, ready to look after your posts and threads, but also to contribute and help even more in the future.

While still in training for this position, we believe he’ll get the basics of forum moderation in no time, as he’s already showing signs of improvement based on our moderation guides.

These being said, feel free to give him a warm welcome wherever you see him around and don’t be surprised if you see him with a new forum tag under his username.

We’re confident expanding our team will make your life on the forum much easier. There’s a strict set of rules everyone must follow and having more moderators means we can keep potential problems under control in a more effective manner.

In the end, we’d like to thank you one more time for being with the OffshoreCorpTalk forum and we’re looking forward to the next exciting news.

Hello, everyone!

Thank you, @JohnLocke, for your kind words; and thank you all for your congratulations :) It's a remarkable honour for me being asked for help here and I feel obliged to do my best to play my role well – as far as my time limits, lifestyle and knowledge allow :) (It's not a full time job to be a moderator here, in fact, it's not a job at all.)

As my perhaps first contribution here in the new position, I'd like to share with you the following:
The forum is really growing and it is wonderful. But this – in my opinion – invaluable source of the information will persist well usable if and only if it persists clearly arranged and well readable. So, please (and I feel as my obligation, inter alia, to keep eyes on it)
– do not go offtopic very often :);
– do not hijack the threads;
– and post your threads in appropriate (sub)forums (i.e. do not ask e.g. about company formation in Offshore Bank Accounts & EMI Accounts, or so).

Sorry for being a preacher in the very beginning ;) (To explain, it's my own initiative, I have not discussed this with @JohnLocke, @Sols and @Martin Everson – be tolerant, friends ;) ).

Best regards!

Forester

@Forester with great power comes great responsibility.
You are completely right.
Please make sure your admin tools remain safe and inaccessible by LE and government mafia at large.
Be assured that this is my fundamental goal regardless of my position ;)
Every man that wants to claim himself to be free should be protected of any mafia :)
