Hi, what would be the best country for Ukrainian family to relocate and acquire new passport now in terms of passport mobility, taxes and quickest/most easy way to settle down? Portugal, Greece, Canada comes to mind, but maybe other options? Pros/cons? Thanks

UK if you have a sponsor (either someone you know or anyone willing). Yes, Brexit etc, but in terms of getting a job for both parents, getting a good education for kids and acquiring citizenship in like 6 years it's a strong option.

Ireland - the same, but with a twist. If you are in IT - it will be great, otherwise it's tricky to find a job anywhere but low-paid manual labour.

South EU - OK if you are retired/plan to retire soon or can work remotely. Portugal is a bit easier because many speak English and you can find some good international schools.

Don't know a thing about Canada except its crazy leftist policies.

Also you might consider Poland, if you speak Ukrainian - you will start speaking Polish in 3-6 months, culturally, ethnically PL is very close to UA, there are like millions of Ukrainians there already, so easier to blend in.

Good options to consider, thank you, and what about taxes and tolerance to on-line business like ED, crypto etc?

As a European, it’s a shame to see the wasted potential of a true Eurasia economic alliance, at least in the northern and middle latitudes if we wanted to avoid the more unstable southern part (they might follow a few decades later seeing the growth of northern neighborhood countries). But of course it’s against the interest of the US and we are missing a opportunity that will shape the future of global geopolitics and economics for centuries to come. I still have hope things can start to shift to the right direction in the next couple of decades.

You already know the answer. Any advice on real options?\
Millions of ukrainians went to russia. Why should it be not a real option ?
Or are ukrainians with russian ancestors no more ukrainians ?

The time for positive ukrainian vibes passed in europe.

Beg to differ. Most of the programs for swift settlement are still active. UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal still give long-term residences/visas for Ukranians.

Without getting too political - many of Ukrainian families lost a lot due to Russian invasion. Some lost family members, many lost their livelihood, some lost everything. Offering them to relocate to Russia is like offering Israelis to relocate to Iran - apart from being ideologically wrong it might be just outright dangerous. Russian authorities treat Ukrainians as people of second sort and often try to scapegoat them, find "traitors" etc.

Some of my extended family members are from Ukraine and despite speaking Russian, they do not want to go there under any circumstances.

you are blind on one eye.Seeing only your point of view. There were millions of ukrainians in east ukraine which were attacked by their own people. They had no choice but to go to russia.

Israelis to relocate to Iran

Funny you mentioned it.The relocation just started but not to Iran but to east ukraine

Well, Russia killed and wounded hundreds of thousands to stop killings of hundreds (yes, in late 2020-2022 there were "merely" hundreds of victims in East Ukraine yearly). It's a classical "Bad peace is better than a good war", but someone doesn't learn.

For the sake of sanity I will leave this unanswered.

You can it won't change the fact that this is just happening.Everything points to it.
Would you know a bit of history you would know that the zionist wanted ukrainian land for centuries.

How come Zionist got land of todays israel before ww2 from england? You belive the jews from europe who were very well established wanted to move to an empty desert freely ?

Anyways if you want to settle only in europe there are not many places in terms of future passport mobility.
I guess gibraltar,uk,monaco, san marino, liechtenstein, switzerland and maybe andorra are the only ones left.

I didn’t ask you and this thread doesn’t need further russophobic rants.
Is not about being russophobic, for the same reason no one here wants to move to the shitshow the US is, why would someone want to move to the shitshow Russia is... Jus like I said: "Because even if millions of bugs love going into s**t, doesn't make the s**t desirable"
